It is often when something tragic happens that we are reminded of the value of giving. When a major catastrophe strikes and becomes national news, we all know an important truth: People are in trouble and need our help. But tragedies strike every day, and can occur in any neighborhood. Most of the time, the emergency, fire, or crisis is not big enough to garner the attention of the National Media but thankfully, it is during these times when a family needs help that the American Red Cross is there. While some of us are close enough to lend a helping hand or a strong back, for most, the best way to help is by giving to the American Red Cross.
But, tragedy strikes every day, and most of the time the emergency, fire, or crisis is not big enough to garner the attention of the National Media, but an important truth remains. People are in trouble and people need our help. Thankful, at these times, when a family needs help, the American Red Cross is there, and the best way to help is by giving to the American Red Cross.
It is for these everyday occurrences that we all need a reminder to give. Today is Giving Day, and we hope, your reminder to give. Please consider making a donation on Giving Day at our American Red Cross Portal.
From the First Day of Enlistment, through to life after service, military and their families are eligible for Red Cross assistance which provides important educational tools, family case management, morale & therapy programs, material assistance and support services to military members stationed worldwide.
